Elche the city known for its palm trees. The palm grove, a World Heritage Site, is definitely worth a visit. On the banks of the river Vinalopó are the narrow Arabic streets of Vila Murada, the area with the most history in Elche and a historical-artistic complex. On one side of the city is the municipal park, the most landscaped area of this palm grove, which has more than 200,000 in total. Elche is just a 20-minute drive from Alicante airport.
